Patnem is a wide white sandy beach framed by hills and palm groves.A peaceful ideal place to spend the days reading, swimming or just ambling along the beach.It is the smaller quieter neighbour of the famous Palolem beach located just a km. away and is easily reachable by rickshaw, taxi or by taking a pleasant stroll along a little path over the rocks and across the interviewing bay.
- Dolphin watching via trips in small local fishing boats.
- Sea aligtors and birds along the Goan back waters
- Take a day trip to nearby Cotigoa wildlife sanctuary and see monkeys and other wild plants and animals.
- Visit famous Capo De Rama and Chapora fort.
- Take a short trip to heritage home spice gardens or little known "secluded islands and beaches".
Neighbourhing Palolem offers great shopping and night life with shops remaining open till late in the evening and where a couple of resorts on the southern end of the beach have a 24 hour bar licence.
